At the library

You never know what u'll find at the library. I'm sitting here at the computer and next to me are a bunch of nurses who are so crazy! i mean... one chair, one's sitting on it as you'd usually sit in a chair, two are flanking her on either armrest and u've got anotehr three standing behind them with one under the keyboard... and i dont know what she's doing. quite crazy huh? haha

I think that life here in mission college has exposed me to life. what am i talking about? life - experiencing life OUTSIDE of your own comfort zone! challenge me if you would, but i say that you've not experienced life until you've stepped out of your comfort zone into somewhere you're unfamiliar with living with people whose cultures you're unfamiliar with, assimilating with them, befriending them, LEARNING their culture, SPEAKING their language, BECOMING like them and SHARING your culture and knowledge with them.

Now I'm gonna answer some questions i've been asked over the past few weeks over MSN, email and otehr sources including SMS.

life in thailand - do i like it?

Lotsa people have asked me this question and YES i do enjoy living here! nuts eh? city boy from the one place in southeast asia you'd really call a city - Singapore going to a rural countryside in Thailand and 'living it up' there? hmmm...

I enjoy the peace, serenity and the food! (roadside stalls rock!) okay, so the roadside stalls give you the runs every now and then, but what's life without some excitement? *haha* if you don't find it exciting to have a really bad stomach ache once in a while, it's alright - maybe i'm just different! (but looking back, you relish those moments don't you? running to the toilet almost dying... haha!)

are people back home too pampered?
you know... i do think so. everythings so near in singapore. i mean... 40mins by train at most. here, to get to the nearest MOVIE THEATRE or SHOPPING MALL... i've gotta take a 2 1/2 hour journey! It's considered near and fast so... what's 40mins?

I've heard people say "oh no... go to SDACC? SO FAR!!" or "Thomson?? SO FAR!!" or "Jurong?? WAAH! got nearer place or not?". To me, thats outright rediculous. U might shoot me for these comments, but do think about it. Even in the states.. is everything as near and as accessible as in Singapore? I think 30mins to 1 hour travelling time is nothing - neither should u :) hehe

why do you say some of the things you say in your blog? you're a pastor-to-be right?
Yes, a controversial subject indeed! I'm sure some of you have read my all too sadistic poems (there are really sweet ones too!) in the past and i beleive more will come. I'm what you'd label as an 'artsy' person. Not artsy fartsy, just artsy.

I love artistry! Art in wordplay, art in music, art in pictures *photography*. Nothing describes life better than art. If you're refering to posts of angst? well, i am human too - don't you get angry sometimes? I feel that you can't judge one from one's blog. Being a theology student and a POSSIBLE pastor to be in the future, words mean a lot and i don't hide from that fact. People will look at me and have pre-conceived fittings - there's a 'perfect ideal' of who i should be and if i don't fit into that box, ahhh! You're a heretic! okay, maybe not to that extreme but you do get the picture do you? :)

People read blogs like people's thoughts... sure they are, but they're just one side of a coin, a dollar bill, half of an art-piece. Hve you seen the whole picture yeT? i also believe that we shouldn't be judging others, lets leave that to God so if i'm right with God, i am, if i'm not, thats for me to right and for God to correct :)

three cheers to me
